Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher ~ (Polioptila caerulea) The Blue-gray Gnatcatcher is one of those birds that I find challenging to get a photo that I am happy with. They are small, quick darting little things that enjoy a "twiggy" environment. When they do get out in the open, they are not much for posing. They are usually contorting in some goofy stance to get ready to go to the next perch. This little fella decided to break with tradition and give me a nice pose out in the open.
